The International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation (CIC) General Assembly

As a longtime partner, DSC recently attended the International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation (CIC) General Assembly in Cascais, Portugal. 

The theme for the General Assembly was Bridges to Diversity and included a robust agenda with items that ultimately served to inform the EU Biodiversity Plan and Global Biodiversity Framework. 

DSC was asked to present in the plenary session on the North American model of wildlife conservation. Joined by Shane Mahoney (Conservation Visions), Ron Regan (Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies), Tony Wasley (Wildlife Management Institute), and Ben Cassidy (Safari Club International), Corey Mason spoke on the role of a Non-Governmental Organization in wildlife conservation in North America and beyond. More specifically, how organizations like DSC, further activate sportsmen and women to engage in wildlife conservation. Further, Corey spoke on the role that partners play in mission execution for DSC, including Hunters for Conservation New Zealand.
